Hot surface ignitor for Carrier, Payne, Bryant, BDP, or Day&Night furnace. This is the factory recommended part for most Carrier, Bryant, BDP, Payne, and Day&Night furnaces that have hot surface ignitors. Carrier part number LH33ZS004. This is the factory authorized replacement for P/N: LH33ZS001 LH33ZS001A LH33ZS002 LH33ZS002A LH33ZS003 LH33ZS003A

This is a very handy item to have as a spare. If your draft inducer comes on and runs for a short while and then locks out reset it and watch and see if the ignitor glows. If not it is probably the problem. If it does glow and the flame lights and then locks out you probably need the flame sensor which is another handy part to have on hand.

The ignitor is very easy to change. The only tools required are a 1/4 inch nut driver and a little patience. You remove the one screw holding the ignitor in and the wiring plugs in via a molex connector. Be sure to handle the ignitor only by the base. If you touch the black element it will shorten the life of the ignitor. While you are changing the ignitor take a look at the burners and make sure they are clean. The burners should be crisp and blue. If there is any question you should have the furnace serviced by a qualified technician.
